So, last trip to the studio for 2018. This year has been a pretty productive year for me in the studio, in both finished pieces and my continued learning. I want to thank all of my friends, family, and followers for allowing me to share my studio experiences with you this past year. Your support and comments mean so much to me. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!
Another charcoal portrait on Strathmore gray toned paper to finish the year.
I’ve really enjoyed studying and learning this medium. I don’t get much time in the studio to paint, so I draw to keep in “tune”. These two were done over a few different trips into the studio. Again, using reference photos from devianart.com.
A bit of a commission / gift. Obviously a ways to go on this, but got it back out today after it sat on the side for a year. Referenced this from a photo I found online. Have no idea of its origin or owner, but certainly I would credit them here if I did. This just goes to show how long it takes me to complete anything. So, if you are waiting on some of my other works in progress… you know you have a wait. It’s what happens when you work a full time job and you don’t get much time to give focus.
As always, thanks for giving this a look.
Stage two my friends. Showing with stage one, side by side for your critique.
