Quick rendering

Quick rendering this morning. Using powdered charcoal, charcoal pencil, and acetone. Oh, and one can’t forget the kneaded eraser. 🙂 On strathmore Bristol paper. Approx. 9×12.

Last for 2018

So, last trip to the studio for 2018. This year has been a pretty productive year for me in the studio, in both finished pieces and my continued learning. I want to thank all of my friends, family, and followers for allowing me to share my studio experiences with you this past year. Your support and comments mean so much to me. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

Another charcoal portrait on Strathmore gray toned paper to finish the year.

More experimenting in charcoal

This mornings charcoal effort. Trying some new approaches to the medium. Kind of liking the style. Charcoal on Strathmore toned gray paper.

It’s really too bad that I have to add a copyright label, but apparently there are some out there that feel our art is free to use wherever. #stopinfringing

“Piper”

“Piper” is also done in charcoal on 80lb Strathmore gray toned paper.
