Experimenting in Charcoal portraits

I posted a graphite version of this one yesterday on my FB page, but I love the mood of it, so I framed a piece, worked on finishing another, and spent some time doing this one again in charcoal. Love experimenting with that stuff.

    1. Hi Carol, and thanks! It’s 100lb Bristol smooth. First time I’ve tried it. Found a small sketchbook of it and decided to give it a try before ordering any larger pieces. Takes the charcoal well, and takes the kneaded eraser marks too.
