To my friends and followers…
It is time for me to move on to a more diverse website. So I am discontinuing my WordPress blog, at donbattles.com (this blog). It’ll be taken down within the next few weeks
If you’d like to continue following my work and my blog, as well as receive an occasional newsletter, please visit my new website at donbattlesfineart.com.
As always, I sincerely thank you for your continued support during these last couple of years. I can’t express in words how much it means to me.
I hope to see you there!
Lovin’ experimenting and learning this medium, just to see what happens and how it turns out. Charcoal on Strathmore Bristol paper.
So what do you do when it’s 18 below outside? Paint your pup! My little buddy, Teddy. Oil on linen, 5×7.
Quick rendering this morning. Using powdered charcoal, charcoal pencil, and acetone. Oh, and one can’t forget the kneaded eraser. 🙂 On strathmore Bristol paper. Approx. 9×12.
So, last trip to the studio for 2018. This year has been a pretty productive year for me in the studio, in both finished pieces and my continued learning. I want to thank all of my friends, family, and followers for allowing me to share my studio experiences with you this past year. Your support and comments mean so much to me. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!
Another charcoal portrait on Strathmore gray toned paper to finish the year.
